Blast from the past!

I believe that every baseball fan should see the video I am about to post. It’s a special event held at Yankee stadium of a legendary pitcher versus an even more legendary slugger, both retired for over a decade, coming back for one more face-off in front of 70,000 fans.

It’s Babe Ruth’s 700+ home runs, 2,000+ R.B.I, and lifetime .342 average trying to go against Walter Johnson’s 400+ wins, 3,500+ strike outs, and lifetime 2.17 E.R.A! Poor Babe, it looked as if ‘The Big Train’ never missed a beat but Ruth hadn’t swung a bat in ages.

I remember, as a kid, watching the old homerun derby contests between all of the old timers-it was an old TV show, of course they where black and white reruns, but MLB should bring that back.

That’s an awesome video. WTHme, I remember watching those derbies also! I think they were on ESPN, around 3 or 3:30 in the afternoon, right after school. It was cool seeing Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and all the other big 1960s and 1970s stars. I wish they would rerun those again.

Glad you liked the video, guys! It was kind of sad to see but very interesting. I have watched it 3-4 times.

Babe, Big Train and catcher Benny Bengough! sweet! That’s an awesome video. I wonder how many pitches it took for Ruth to finally hit one solidly enough to get one over the porch.
