The Wax Heaven Directory F.A.Q.

I just came home from a night out on the town to find over a dozen emails regarding the Wax Heaven Directory. I did not realize just how many “newbies” (in a good way) signed up for the Directory this time around. That makes me feel great because it means there is a whole new crop of readers discovering the site.

Here is a list of do’s and don’ts with regards to the Directory.

DO

If your player was picked, no matter what type of card and you want to claim him simply fill out a self addressed stamped envelope and send it out. My address can be found in the Directory Excel file.

DON’T

Please do not send any money. Simply add the right amount of stamps (1-3). By sending money you are actually slowing down the process in which the cards arrive to you.

DO

A friendly remind and a note in your package with your name and player is very helpful. I am currently sitting on close to twenty SASE’s that had no information on it and due to the hundreds that signed up, I have no idea who they belonged to.

DON’T

If you didn’t make it on the list this time around, don’t ask for an entry. I do not edit the list during the time period it runs. The next entry date will be in August, make sure to keep an eye out for the date it’s posted.

DO

Don’t hesitate to ask for extra cards. If you chose Adam LaRoche and see that there are tons of unclaimed Pirates players by all means ask for the rest of the crop. I don’t keep these cards so you’re actually doing me a favor.

DON’T

The final don’t is very important. If you send me an email and I don’t respond right away, don’t get impatient. These days it sometimes takes me 12+ hours to respond to everyone.
