I thought they discontinued Sweet Spot? These mock-ups certainly look much better than the product from ’08.

1. I thought this was cancelled permanently.
2. I think it’s a mistake to remove the stadium backgrounds.
What happened to SS being discontinued….
Who knew that Sweet Spot was still alive, I think it looks nice, better than last year. Too bad they are doing boxes with packs in them other than the 1 pack tin. I think the tins are better. But so far, this stuff looks pretty nice.

Looks good, I was always a fan of the set. I don’t understand the hate. No, you may not get “value”, but do ya ever? The $20 packs were a fun “gamble” for an auto, worst case you got a cheaper relic.
SS tins were cool, this 6 pack crap is garbage. Should have really discontinued it or went back to 1 pack tins.
Ballpark Collection was supposedly dead as well, but that one is returning also. If Upper Deck does think that they might not have an MLB license next year, this high end product is a good way for them to clean out the vault.
Personally, I’m not a fan of the 6 pack format either. 1 pack ends up being worth it and 5 aren’t worth $5. I bought one pack out of curiousity and pulled a Griffey autographed bat card and I still wouldn’t purchase another pack.
That Jordan is a great card.
However, till they solve the fading problems by either switching the ball material or using quality markers I will still stay away.

if they load it like 08, that plus the better design will make it a hit…
I got 1 full box and 2 half box last year, got two griffey autos, and one ripken auto.
It does bring the price down, but what do i care, i have one HOF and two griffey autos! haha

I was really looking forward to the 2008 release of SSC last year after seeing a Tino/Mattingly dual Sweet Spot auto on the checklist. But the product was a HUGE letdown not only were there faded autos but Tino had signed in a ballpoint pen and Mattingly signed in a Sharpie making the autos have no visual appeal. However, I did really like the design of the card with the stadium background.
As always the design looks great, but I hope this year has better quality autos.

You wanna know what I am confused about? Well, I will tell you anyways, “Why in the He** are they releasing baseball products so late in the year?” Baseball is gonna be over by November! Release these products now for chances of in person signings, collections, new rookie cards, etc…
I know we just talked about hating on cards in the latest posts, and usually I try not to hate, but I just have to on this one! I guess it will make a good Christmas present for me

i love the 6 pack format cause it’s fun to rip and it takes longer. Would you rather open on pack with 20 cards and have it be a bust ofr a boom the be over in like 2 muinetes? or would you want to open 6 packs, each with a decent hit in it and save the auto for last?
