I’ve always been a big fan of the printing plate. I don’t know what Pinnacle Brands was thinking when they introduced them into The Hobby in 1997 but clearly they were on to something.
Earlier this month, Wax Heaven asked readers to come up with a card related limerick and over 100 of you submitted an entry. Ultimately, JoshSamBob won the contest and the two Yankees plates.
This time around you will have to get creative again and while the details aren’t exactly written in stone yet, you can bet it will have something to do with a very special holiday celebrated in October.
As for the player depicted on the plates, it’s none other than fan favorite, Manny Ramirez. In 17 seasons, “ManRam” is nearing 550 career home runs, a career batting average well above .300, and is closing in on the record for most Grand Slams ever hit.

Wow, that’s amazing of them. Finding all four plates is almost impossible given that 50% of product sits on shelves for years.
