My First Sweet Spot Experience…

Author: Austin Cassidy

I picked up a box of Upper Deck’s Sweet Spot for football to see what the product was like.  I’ve heard a little chatter on Twitter, much of it negative, but I wanted to see for myself.

The camera died in the middle of shooting this video, but that was probably a good thing because it allowed me to run down stairs and actually take a look at some auctions for what I’d pulled.

Very interested to hear your thoughts on Sweet Spot.  Love it?  Hate it?  Feels like a scratch-off lottery ticket to me, but I guess that’s not unique to this product. Also… does every pack contain a giant brick of a coupon to the Upper Deck Store?

Per pack prices for Sweet Spot run around $20-25, so yeah, about average. And yeah, th thick decoys don’t make much difference when each pack is in a sealed box.

You got a good swatch though. I mean, Aikman is never horrible. Sad that it doesn’t sell for that much, though considering the player. Guess it shows how crap jerseys are now.

Wow, that was the most boring box break I’ve ever watched. You a an awkward person. Thank You.

Thanks for the post. I don’t know if that was a joke above, but I didn’t think it was boring. There’s not much you can do with a pack of 8 cards to really spice it up. The info you provided was very helpful.

On blowoutcards.com, the pack is running ~16 right now. That’s not too bad. I understand paying extra to support a local shop though.
